Meet Darren

I joined the Financial Services Industry in 1997.  As the Executive Vice President, Maryland - SW Virginia Branch of Equitable Advisors, I am proficient and have the resources to accommodate your financial planning needs. I am committed  to assisting  my clients in achieving their  financial needs from Investment and Retirement Planning, to risk management and estate conservation strategies. I design a strategy with my clients to determine their needs and goals. I am committed to developing a long term relationship by providing value and being a trusted resource.

I am a graduate from Salisbury University, where I received a degree in Finance. While at Salisbury, I played Baseball and was an active member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity.  Presently, I am still active with my Alma Mater as  I sit on the Board of Trustees for the Perdue School of Business.  As a Financial Planner and Wealth Manager I maintain the series 7,24,63,65 as well as life and health insurance licenses. I am an active member of GAMA and Gold Frontline leader qualifier. I am also a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors ( NAIFA).

In 2009 I was promoted to Executive Vice President, East Region of the Maryland Branch. One of my responsibilities is managing a team of highly educated Financial Professionals. Each member has a specific focus and together they compliment each other to ensure a comprehensive approach to Financial Planning and Risk Management. As an Executive Vice President, I recruit, train, and mentor new associates and am extremely proud of their results. We are one of the top ranked groups in the country and have received numerous national awards. Including a 2 time national builders trophy, which recognizes groups based on production and development.

I am always looking for quality individuals to join our organization. A good candidate is a highly motivated, caring, and organized individual with good communication skills and history of success; a financial background is not a prerequisite as we offer an extensive training program.
